30$ Portraits

A marvellous thing happened when I chanced to visit Toronto - I actually talked to some people! This extraordinary novelty had the side effect of giving my art significantly more exposure than the nothing I'm used to (on the order of ∞%, mathematically speaking).

As a result, someone actually offered me a commission! Given my precarious, money-starved circumstances, I of course promised to work for cheap. The transaction proved to be a complete success as, contrary to the complete disaster my anxiety disorder led me to anticipate, my client was quite pleased with the results:

The lovely Bridgette Liang, a Toronto based activist and consultant who identifies as a disabled, neurodiverse, fat trans fangirl of colour. You can visit their blog at bridgetliang.wordpress.com

I am therefore openly soliciting commissions for portraits. You send me 30$ with a photo of your head and shoulders, I send you back some files with the scanned artwork of you looking good. The original can also be picked up at my place, or you can pay my expenses to mail it to you. If you have something I like (food, NES games) you can also pay me in kind, or in trade. Also keep in mind my artworks tend towards miniatures - the sample above is 4 by 5 inches, for instances.

If you have any other requests for artwork besides portraits, we can easily work something out. Just contact me with what you want and I'll give you a price based on paying myself minimum wage per hour for my labour.
